The Sunrise Youth Photo Competition
Capture the world through your lens! This competition is open to all local youth, including categories: Insects (9-10 years) Trees (11-12 years) Emotions (13-14 years). Why enter? There are prizes up for grabs, the winning photos will be exhibited and it is a chance to showcase your talent! To enter simply submit your photo via email to admin.traumasupport@gmail.com. IMPORTANT: Include Name, Surname, Age, Category and a unique image name (eg. 'Jane Smith, 12, TREES: Barking mad'). Explore the small wonders of nature, capture the strength and beauty of our local flora or express a feeling or mood through a single image! Closing date: 19 October 2026.
SunRise invites the community to an awareness morning focused on understanding trauma, responding with compassion and knowing where to find support.
The session will introduce the role of trained counselling volunteers, explain when to reach out, and share practical ways to support someone who has experienced a traumatic incident.
Who should attend?
Community members, faith leaders, local organisations and anyone who wants to better understand trauma-informed support are welcome.
